Opening Night

On 12 June 2009 Waimea House was officially opened by the Rt Hon Dr Nick Smith, Minister for the Environment and MP for Nelson.

Around 80 guests were treated to the best of Nelson's food and wine and joined Alisdair and his wife, Shelley, in celebrating the culmination of their vision for the site at 74 Waimea Road and the beginning of a new era for the practice.

 

Sustainable Business Network

Daines & Associates Architects Ltd is a member of the Sustainable Business Network which is a forum for businesses that are interested in sustainable development practice.

The SBN promotes sustainable practice in New Zealand and supports businesses on the path to becoming sustainable. We entered the 2009 Sustainable Business Network Awards because we believed the organisation's philosophy was in line with our own (read more) and the entry process was an excellent opportunity to measure our business' performance in the widest context of sustainable business practices.

Tasman Nelson Environment Awards 2009

This year Daines & Associates Architects were a finalist in the Tasman Nelson Environment Awards in a field of 86 entries. The awards are an annual celebration of the efforts and achievements of people in the region towards improving and sustaining their environment.
