Chesterman Alteration

A house in upper Collingwood Street, Nelson has unsurpassed views over the city and surrounding environment. The owners wanted a modern version of a 1950s contemporary house featuring open plan living, large sliding doors/windows, maximum views and privacy.

The openness of the house, as viewed from the inside, belies the actual privacy the property affords. The upper floor incorporates the owners' private suite of bedroom, deck, en suite and wardrobe which provides a sanctuary with views over the city. The building offers a retreat for the owners' busy working lives.
